We an opening for a Site Manager. Under the general direction of the Director of Operations, the Site Manager oversees the daily operations of the Family Health Center, including supervising Patient Service Representatives and Medical Assistants. As a team member at our health center, you will work with staff who are racially, ethnically and culturally diverse, so being culturally competent is required. A sense of humor is also very important!
* Regularly monitors supplies, equipment, and maintenance of the site and ensures staff at both medical and dental sites have the supplies, functional equipment, and clean/safe physical space to do his/her job. Reports problems and coordinates requests for repairs to the appropriate NSCH staff. * Handles all in-person patient complaints with timely reporting to Director of Operations * Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external customers * Assists patients with enrolling in the NSCH patient portal * Screens patient eligibility for sliding fee discount * HIPAA: maintains strict patient confidentiality * Participates in meetings, as needed * Provides backup support for Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) at Site as needed * Performs additional duties to fulfill NSCH's mission, as assigned * Supervises the PSRs at Site. * Supervises the Medical Assistants (MAs) at Site; MAs' performance is managed by individual clinicians for whom they provide support. * Coaches, mentors and provides training opportunities for staff to ensure they are performing to their highest potential. * Ensures that PSRs verify patient insurance and demographic information and collect co-payments, as appropriate. * Ensures that PSRs are screening for patient eligibility for sliding fee discount. * Ensures staff is following the proper registration guidelines, verifying insurances and processing co-payments. * Disseminates and interprets information to assure that new and existing PSRs and MAs are familiar with NSCH policies, procedures, and performance expectations for their job role. * Collaborates closely with other managers and Director of Operations to ensure appropriate staffing patterns of clinical and non-clinical support staff at the Site. * Establishes an environment which fosters teamwork and open communication. * Attends all required enrollment trainings, as needed. * Assists patients with insurance application process, as needed. * Provides insurance enrollment assistance to existing and future NSCH patients and the general public, as needed. * Collaborates with NSCH PSRs to ensure that the eligibility and enrollment needs of NSCH's patients are met with a demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service. * Other duties as assigned.
* 2+ years working in a patient centered medical home (PCMH) ambulatory health care setting preferred, preferably a community health center * Supervisory experience in a PCMH ambulatory health care setting; community health center experience preferred * Values cultural diversity and other individual differences at NSCH, ensuring that the organization builds on these differences * Experience with GE Centricity Practice Management and HER, preferred * Fluency in English AND Spanish or Portuguese required * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) * Valid MA driver's license and ability to travel to other sites and/or outreach and enrollment events on nights and weekends * Proven quality improvement and process improvement experience * Self-motivated and self-directed to work within a team and/or work independently * Extremely detail-oriented in both verifying own work as well as the work of others
